Conversely, the movie had its deep moments too, such as Kasuma feeling tormented over whether he should sleep with Megumi [her parents wanted to marry them off, mistakenly believing he’s rich]; Kazuma learning from Meg’s parents that she trusts him with her life; Kazuma almost surrendering to Sylvia because he felt his party didn’t care about him [and then he finds she’s not fully female of course ]; Kasuma volunteering to sacrifice himself to stop Sylvia‘s Ultimate Form, and, most amazing of all, Sylvia realizing in the end, that what she really wanted all along, was to be loved.
I’m not a big Konosuba fan- the humor doesn’t always work for me. But this movie was hilarious, moving, and even had a thrilling climax. Recommended for: Konosuba and Anime fans. NOT recommended for: the easily offended.
